Become a Friend

Friends of Madge Lake is now a registered Canadian charity and provide tax receipts for all contributions and donations, including Friendships, which replace the traditional memberships sold previously.

We accept donations for Friendships at our seasonal cabin store, through our Directors, or through the convenient online form below. We have partnered with CanadaHelps, which will collect donations and issues the official tax receipt for all donations made online. Our treasurer will issue receipts for donations made at the store or to a Director.

We encourage you to become a Friend if you have not already done so this year. Those who donate $500 or more will join the Circle of Friends in one of the following categories:

  • Fox: cumulative donations of $500 to $1,999
  • Wolf: cumulative donations of $2,000 to $9,999
  • Bear: cumulative donations of $10,000 to $19,999
  • Eagle: cumulative donations over $20,000

All those in our Circle of Friends will be recognized on our donations board at the Treats and Treasures store.

All donations over $20 will receive a tax-deductible charitable receipt.

We invite you to use the secure form below to make your donation, or you may make your donation on the CanadaHelps website.

Please note that the email you receive when you donate online will show you have donated to Friends of Madge Lake, but the official tax receipt indicates you have donated to CanadaHelps, which is itself a charity that has the sole purpose of managing donations to other charities. The donation you made will immediately flow through to Friends of Madge Lake.
